Ayona says her dream is to touch the hearts & souls of many through her music because at the end of the day, until you reach the entire world you are nobody, but to somebody you can mean the world. Ayona a DePaul University Graduate. The Empress is a singer, songwriter, dancer, model, actress, producer and musician. She is also the ambassador for keeping the arts in schools and is backed by Senator Rickey Hendon & Congressman Danny Davis.
With many accolades already under her belt, including performing with the Black Eyed Peas on the Oprah Winfrey Show and BET’s 106 & Park, Ayona is ready to show the world her talents. Ayona has opened for Mario, Lloyd, and Souljah Boy in addition to performing in Russia, New York and St. Louis. The empress of music now wants to give the world a taste of her triple-threat performances.
Ayona is a one-woman show. She has already made a name for herself in Chicago with her hit singles “Irrelevant/So Serious,” “Lost in the Music,” and a single that’s in rotation on 107.5 WGCI, “Private Dance.” Ayona’s footprints are also at POWER 92.3 FM with Bionce Foxx (TRUE STAR), WVON AM 1690 with Johnny Cool Out Starks and VOCALO WBEW 89.5 FM Brian Babylon. Ayona has been featured in the RedEye, True Star, Rolling Out and Goddess Magazine.
In addition to the hit singles and performances around the world, Ayona always finds time for her hometown and performs regularly at events throughout the city such as the Bud Billiken Parade, Black Women’s Expo and the Windy City Rib Fest where she impressed the attendees with her unique voice and innovative dance moves. Her presentation has magnetic appeal on both national and international landscapes.
Ayona also took her talents to Africa, singing "Together We Can Change the World" with the Uganda SIFA choir. She is not just a performer, but a humanitarian who wishes to see the problems of the world solved and feels that using her talents is a perfect method of reaching out to those in need. Passionate about helping the community, Ayona is also an advocate for AIDS Awareness which is evident from her donating part of her proceeds from her performances to benefit AIDS research.
