Amir “Landon” Duncan was born in Newark, NJ on October 25th, 1988. And like most young boys, Landon was actively involved in sports in his early years, and saw music as just a hobby. It wasn’t until one day after his mother heard him singing in the car and realized her sons talent - that music came to play a bigger role in his life. With his mother’s encouragement Landon auditioned, and was accepted to the Newark Boys Chorus School.
Equipped with his acceptance and an incredible voice, Landon began to tour in and out of the country competing with some of the best artist in his age bracket. After the chapter with the boys choir ended - Landon went on to complete high school, and is now an Alumn of Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. There he decided to study Business Administration - while using his free time to work with various musicians and producers to enhance his musical intellect.
Landon’s sound is influenced by music heavy weights such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, and Usher. But this young artist has developed his own unique style that is able to intertwine his diverse personality with the experiences life has to offer -- giving his music an identity of it’s own. With an effortless talent for singing/songwriting, a soulful - yet energetic style, and an irresistible charm... there’s no doubt - in the minds of music lovers -- that Landon is R&B’s Next Big Thing.
Landon is now signed to NJ’s Fastest Growing Independent Music Label -- FoQus Music Entertainment (F.M.E) -- and is currently in the studio working on the label’s highly-anticipated Hip Hop/R&B compilation titled “The FOQUS Album” featuring his label mates Casper G, MonCherie, and Face 490. The album is expected to be released in Summer 2012.
In addition to The FOQUS Album compilation, Landon’s cover of Melonie Fiona’s single “4am” entitled“Gingerbread Man” as well as his cover of Lil Wayne’s “How to Love”is rapidly becoming a fan favorite.
