About APSCI

Primarily a duo -- MC Ra LaMotta and his wife, vocalist Dana Diaz-Tutaan -- but aided by a pair of DJs (DJ Big Wiz, DJ Boo) and a percussionist (Guy Licata), ApSci (short for Applied Science) released their first album, Get It Twisted, on the Australian Elefant Tracks label. Quannum eventually snapped up the group; Get It Twisted was revamped, included a number of new tracks, and was issued as Thanks for Asking in July 2005. In February of 2006, Dana starred in the opening of David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's musical, Here Lies Love. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
