About Angela María music
Since her childhood she developed a taste for music. Studied in the Santa Margarita school in Monterrico Lima Peru, in which she received her first singing lessons from teacher Genaro Chumpitazi also teacher of the recognized peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flores).She participated in several musical and artistic events to develop her talent.
When she finished school she emigrated to Italy where she studied Jazz vocals at the Saint Louis College of music in the city of Rome, and specializes in jazz vocals. She worked as a singer with different groups, in popular roman places and jazz festivals. She also colaborated as a back singer in the album IL13 of the well known rock group Il Banco del mutuo soccorso and as a back vocalist of Laura Pausini in Big Brother Germany.
Later on she emigrated to The Netherlands where she continues her musical carrer.
In 2009 she presented her first album “Como Soy”, the album contains 10 songs most of them written and produced by Angela together with Tito Manrique.The album is a fusion of vallenato, afro Peruvian ryhtms, cumbia and bolero. The album is worldwide available (Itunes) and in the record shops in Peru & in The Netherlands.
The Billboard-USA magazine one of the most relevant and impartial fonts of information in the musical industry califies the album Como Soy as, poetical & enchanting.
Highlight “Primavera,” poetically implores, “How many springs are in the winter of your soul?”
2010 represented an important year in Angela’s carreer with the european tour of the album Angela dedicated this year to the promotion of “Como Soy”.
In 2010 collaborated as a singer of the band Radiokijada during the European tour “Nuevos sonidos afro Peruanos” produced by Rodolfo Muñoz and Christoph H.Müller (Gotan project).
In 2010 Angela released the single “Todos vuelven” a mix of Rumba with jazz.
In 2011 Angela is still working as a singer, songwriter and producer and performing regularly In The Netherlands.
2012 Angela is working on a new production.
