About All Mankind
Sydney is often celebrated as the launch pad for such International hit acts like AC/DC, Midnight Oil or INXS. ALL MANKIND are still worlds away from the acclaim of these legends, but they are heading in the right direction and are certainly not an overnight success or one-hit wonder. Australian acts all hit the big time by believing in hard work, combined with electric, high-energy live shows.
In the U.S., ALL MANKIND have long established themselves with songs across the TV spectrum in hit shows like “Gossip Girl”, the Emmy-winner “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” and well-known MTV reality shows “The Hills”, “Jersey Shore”, “The In-betweens” and “Savage U”.
In their native Australia, ALL MANKIND have also made an impact on TV. Their song “Can You Hear Me?” has been on Australia’s biggest show, “Winners & Losers”. Last but not least, ALL MANKIND can also be found on the EA Games FIFA 2012 Video Game, which sold 3.2 million copies in its first week of availability, making it the fastest selling sports game ever according to EA.
All who have beheld ALL MANKIND live have now experienced the musical direction of these Australians. Comparisons are often drawn to U2, The Killers or Coldplay, but ALL MANKIND stand solidly on their own feet. Give them an empty stage, a few electrical outlets and watch the magic evolve!
To conquer the European market, ALL MANKIND have embarked on their greatest adventure yet. Rich, Dave, Gavin and Dorny have made the uncommon choice to take up residency in Europe. This way, they will be in the best position to tour the entire continent up and down and to dedicate the next 12 to 15 months exclusively to European fans. This decision is making an immediate impact! The BBC in London and numerous promoters of rock festivals have taken notice of these young upstarts. The band is confirmed for European major festivals HURRICANE (Germany), SOUTHSIDE (Germany) and NOVA ROCK (Austria). In Germany, Bayern 3 and RBB Berlin have been playing their songs in heavy rotation. ALL MANKIND have even reached a sensational Top 5 spot on the Amazon Singles-Download charts for their hit “Heart of the Universe.”
The band have just released their debut full-length album ‘Simple Desire’. The album was recorded and produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Foals) in Liverpool, England.
The band chose to record the album using traditional techniques, recording to tape, using vintage analogue gear, recording ‘live’ as a band, and relying on performance rather than technology. As a result, some of the songs were recorded in only a few takes. Prior to the release of the album, All Mankind’s debut EP attracted the talents of top producers: Aria Award Winner David Nicholas (Elton John, Sting, Midnight Oil, INXS, and more) and platinum producer Peter Mayes (Empire of the Sun) were in charge.
