When rock band from Spain Al Borde was formed by guitarist Miguel Ortihuela in 1992, the musician was convinced of the good chance to get his act involved in the local alternative scene. Nevertheless, there was a long way to go before getting the band together. In 1997, Al Borde's lineup was singer Jorge Fontecha, bassist José Manuel Gómez, guitarists Francisco Gómez and Miguel Ortihuela, and drummer Bernardo Bellester. Soon Francisco Gómez left to join a band called Muro and was replaced by Javier Busto. In addition, singer Leo Jiménez took Jorge Fontecha's place. In 1998, Al Borde recorded its first album, independently released that same year. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
