AaronJoe, born in Uyo, Nigeria, is a Singer/Songwriter, motivational speaker that intends to merge his understanding and views of human nature with his earthbound melodies to infiltrate the ears of listeners that will soon become fans. To him, music was supposed to be beneficial to a persons mind, body and soul, and that’s what he intends to achieve by his calm demeanor and his well scripted lyrics. Also known as “The Voice Of Reason”, he emphasizes Unity, with intentions of being a voice to the voiceless, help to the helpless, and most importantly, a unifying figure that will bring peace to nations and the world at large. Born to Dr. and Mrs. Enefiok Aaron as the 3rd child in a family of 4 boys, his father passed when he was 11 months old and he has since aspired to be as generous, helpful, loyal and influential as his late father. He believes in discipline, fairness, honesty and faith in The Living GOD, Jesus Christ. AaronJoe started his musical career at the tender age of 5, when he would sing lyrics from “Cherry oh baby” by UB40 to his new baby brother. In his own words, music was his own way of putting his little brother at peace, "I can remember when Mom would go to work at night, and my little brother will cry all night trying to go with her, but soon as I start singing Cherry oh Baby to him, He'll be quiet and start smiling; I considered this as his way of singing with me, it worked every time”. He realized he can use music to touch people's lives, and by so doing, he embarked on intellectual writing of stories, that later became songs. Living in a house with a strong musical influence by his brother, Engr. Ubong Aaron (Uberon), AaronJoe’s dream of becoming a singer was not very far from his finger tips. At age 8, his brother would have him beat box, while he (Uberon) would sing to it. Other than his brother’s musical influence and discipline, he was also influenced by Bob Marley, UB40, Alpha Blondy, Lucky Dube, Sade, Michael Jackson, Sunny Okosun and a host of other Artists. AaronJoe was first introduced to Hiphop in the early 90s when he heard Busta Rhymes on Leaders of the New School. Since then, he developed his liking to this new tone and energy of music, which explains why he later moved to Brooklyn, NY and then to The DMV. He has a way of engaging his crowd, leaving you wanting more. In his words, “For me, making music is like Prayer, "Out of the abundance of my heart, my mouth speaks". With the knowledge of where his Message Is From and who his Message Is To, he can easily take you through a storm of energy when u witness one of his live performances, filled with messages to take home with. With his talents and ability to pull the crowd, his willingness to reach across the aisle and his dreams of meeting the musical and intellectual needs of his fans, AaronJoe is ready to meet the world.
