Named for the group’s unabashed aim – immortality through music – A New Way to Live Forever marks an important watershed moment for an undeniably stale rock scene. The band, known by fans as ANWTLF for short, effectively combines tenets of soul, pop and hook-laden rock for a unique listening experience that is charged with emotion, groove and attitude. Since their inception the guys have garnered comparisons from a wide range of chart-toppers, past and present – from Kings of Leon and Coldplay to Lenny Kravitz and Foo Fighters. Founded by prolific songwriter Russ Rogers (vocals) and accompanied by Phil Tucciarone (drums) of Numb Ones alumni, James Coyle (guitar), Steve Valez (bass), Daniel Dyer (keyboards) and occasionally Todd Evans (guitar), A New Way to Live Forever is well on its way to arena domination. After the release of the well-received debut EP “Avalanche” in October of 2008, the band went on indefinite hiatus while members pursued other projects. Fast-forward to 2011, and a new shape of the group emerged in force. With original founder Russ Rogers helming the majority of the writing and vocal duties, the latest incarnation has James Coyle (guitar), Phil Tucciarone (drums), Steve Velez (bass), and Daniel Dyer (Keyboards), joining to deliver a meaningful dose of hook-laden, soulful rock. Listeners can expect a driving, melancholic blend of influences akin to luminaries like Lenny Kravitz, Kings of Leon, Radiohead, and Prince. Also re-joining in a writing and part-time performance capacity is original co-founder/guitarist, Todd Evans. Now with their new EP, Rumoura (2012) and support of their label Civil Defense. The basic tracking for Rumoura was done in Deerfield Beach, FL by Jeremy Staska (Nonpoint, New Found Glory), with final mixing will taking place in Spring 2012 Los Angeles, CA with Civil Defense’s veteran producer and engineer, Ed Goodreau.
